This Watch is Dressed up for a Good Cause

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, in case you haven’t heard, is an annual multi-city charity motorcycle ride established to raise awareness of (and raise funding to hopefully find a cure for) prostate cancer. The fifth edition is coming up in about six weeks’ time (September 25th), and to celebrate, the master watchmakers at Zenith have created a very limited edition version of their stylish Pilot Ton-Up watch.

The Zenith Pilot Ton-Up DGR (as in Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride) boasts a 45mm aged stainless steel case attached to a hand-stitched leather strap and featuring the oh-so-dapper DGR logo engraved on the back, with a smaller version of the logo making an appearance on the dial. That dial, incidentally, resides behind an anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal and in front of Zenith’s own Swiss automatic caliber El Primero 4069, the latter rocking 35 jewels and 50 hours of power reserve.

Want one? Too bad. Only five will be made, and Zenith will only present them to the five most prolific fundraisers worldwide for this year’s ride. Still, that shouldn’t deter you from signing up for the event.
