xXx Performance 2014 Audi R8 is Quite the Character
Last June, we reported on a striking, blue-chrome-wrapped Audi R8 V10 assembled by a German tuner called xXx Performance. Aside from the conversation-starter looks (and company name; we shudder to think how often we’d have to tell people the shop that customized our car doesn’t have anything to do with porn or Vin Diesel movies), it also packed a substantial power bump over the stock version.
A year and a couple months have passed, and xXx Performance has jazzed up another example of Audi’s supercar. This time, though, they’ve used one of the updated 2014 models with the LED headlights and dual-clutch transmission. At least, we’re guessing this one has the dual-clutch trans; xXx Performance hasn’t really mentioned anything in the way of what drivetrain it has and what – if any – engine upgrades have been performed. But who cares if it does or doesn’t have extra power? Just look at it!
xXx Performance’s widebody kit adds 1.6” of width to the front of the car and 2.8” to the back. Wheels are 20” jobs from Schmidt finished in orange to match the wild graphics (mostly numbers and letters/characters from various languages around the world) printed on the body-cloaking white vinyl wrap. And of course, there’s some sort of height-adjustable suspension to allow for a slammed stance when stationary, because you can’t be on the move all the time.
