Here’s One Monster You’ll Want to Find in Your Closet

Since its introduction in 1993, the Ducati Monster has been at or near the forefront of the Italian motorcycle marque’s renaissance. In fact, it’s the best selling model line in company history, and regularly comprises more than half of its annual sales. So when the Spanish Ducati distributor recently decided to send a new Duc to famed customizer Pepo Rosell of XTR Pepo, a 2015 Monster 1200 S seemed like a natural choice.

After taking it down to the bare trellis frame, Rosell installed a custom rear subframe, new front forks and rear springs from Öhlins, a custom seat, and a custom 2-into-1 exhaust manifold that feeds a muffler borrowed from a Ducati Multistrada 1200. A sweet custom paintjob on the gas tank and a lightweight lithium-polymer battery residing in a custom XTR Pepo box on the swingarm further enhance what we reckon is one of the sleekest usable naked bikes (as it still retains a full complement of lights, instruments, mirrors and even a windscreen) in the world today.
