Wheelsandmore Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe Big Bang is More than a Theory
The Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe is already one of our favorite new cars, and why wouldn’t it be? It’s big, beautiful, stupendously fast for its size and, thanks to the 4Matic all-wheel-drive, usable year-round. But we can understand why some people might be a bit dissatisfied with its 577 horsepower and 3.9 second 0-60 mph times, as there are faster and more powerful four-seat super coupes out there. It is for these tough-to-please peeps that Wheelsandmore has done its thing for the hefty hyperactive Hessian hardtop.
If you’re into broadcasting to the world that you’ve had your S63 Coupe enhanced, Wheelsandmore (which calls this tuning package Big Bang) will gladly affix the racing stripe and recolored roof you see here, as well as the 21” 6Sporz² 3-piece wheels and LowMaXX suspension lowering module. But the real meat and potatoes of this package can be found under the skin, where Wheelsandmore endows the 5.5L twin-turbo V8 with carbon fiber airboxes, new turbochargers, an ECU tune and a less restrictive stainless steel exhaust system with muffler bypass valves. Those revisions result in new output peaks of 792 horsepower and 774 lb.-ft of torque, which ought to be more than sufficient to turn whatever autumn leaves you run over into finely-ground mulch.
