Wheelsandmore 720LT is a Madder McLaren 675LT

McLaren Automotive, apparently convinced that its 650S wasn’t brain-sloshingly fast enough, created an extreme version of that car called the 675LT. Unfortunately, it also decided to cap production of the 675LT (short for “long tail,” a nod to the extended-rump McLaren F1 GTR race cars of the late 1990s) at just 500 copies. A person would have to be crazy to alter such a rare “instant collectible” of a supercar; luckily, Germany’s Wheelsandmore has at least a few people on its staff who fit that description.

Although the LT gets special bodywork from the factory, Wheelsandmore takes things a step further with an even longer front splitter and “jawbone” rising up to meet the headlights, and an automatic rear spoiler/airbrake that stretches back even further than the already lengthy stock piece. They’ve also lowered the ride height by an inch and fitted a killer set of 6 Sporz² wheels measuring 20” in front and 21” in back.

But Wheelsandmore didn’t stop at altering the appearance. The company has taken to calling this thing the “720LT,” because it says the upgrades it has made to the 3.8L twin-turbo V8 (namely an ECU tune and a super-low-restriction exhaust system) bumped total power to 720 metric horsepower (710 SAE horsepower). Wheelsandmore isn’t publishing any performance figures, but it’s safe to assume that extra kick will put this exclusive machine even more out of reach for most of us mortals.
