Wald International Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is a Hardtop Heartthrob
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe might not be the largest, fastest, priciest or most prestigious luxury two-door on the market, but it could easily be the most beautiful. Of course, Mercedes-Benz’s full-size coupes have almost always been lookers, and are particularly cool for being one of just a handful of cars made today that features a “pillarless” (at least in the middle of the roof) hardtop design. Now the VIP tuning powerhouse Wald International is taking the door-deficient S’s sex appeal a step further with a host of new Black Bison parts.
As we’ve come to expect from Wald over the years, this new package features deeper front and rear bumpers (the former integrating LED running lights and the latter a carbon fiber diffuser), side skirts and a set of subdued lip spoilers that mount above the back window and on the trunk lid. But the kit also features new vented front fenders that add a little extra razzmatazz to the body sides. Throw in a set of nifty turbine-fan-style wheels and a sport exhaust system and you have a luxury car that’s still long on class and short on crass.
