Vossen Wheels Builds the Wagon of Our Dreams [w/ Video]

The current, biturbo V8 powered iteration of the Mercedes-Benz E63 S AMG Wagon is immensely appealing in stock form. Then again, we say that about all high performance station wagons, but the maddest Merc longroof is pretty dope, primarily due to the fact it’s basically the only one you can still buy new here in the U.S. Of course, there are ways to make it even more dope, like changing the wheels, lowering the ride height, and adding a buttload of power. This one hopped up by the fine folks at Vossen Wheels has all three of those things, and more.

A lowered ride height and a set of Vossen’s new VFS-5 wheels measuring 20” across and wearing a gloss graphite colored coating provide a subtle attitude adjustment on the exterior, as do some choice carbon fiber bits and a blacked out grille insert. All in all, this wagon looks meaner, but that’s because it is meaner, thanks to a Stage III engine tune from RENNtech that increases the 5.5L twin-turbo V8’s output to an insane 850 horsepower and an insaner 1,000 lb.-ft of torque. Good thing, then, that this balls-to-the-wall battle wagon has also been treated to an upgraded set of Brembo brakes.
