VOS Performance Project-9x is a Fired up Ferrari 488 GTB

It would be easy to get depressed about Ferrari replacing the 458 Italia’s coked-up howler monkey of a naturally aspirated V8 with a softer, Kenny G-ified turbo V8 in the 488 GTB. But here’s the thing: It’s a lot easier to add power to a forced-induction engine than it is an atmo one, and that’s exactly what German tuner VOS Performance (“VOS” being shorthand for Vision of Speed) has done.

In addition to the tasty carbon fiber body kit which includes a front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear wing, the H&R sport springs and the lovely 21” LOMA wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, VOS Performance offers three stages of upgrade packages for the 3.9L twin-turbo V8. The most extreme of those upgrade packages, Stage 3, uncorks a claimed 888 horsepower and 671 lb.-ft of torque, which ought to be enough to leave all but the most hyperactive of modern hypercars running scared. As for us, we’re more intrigued than scared…
