VIDEO: Randy Pobst Drives the 2014 Le Mans Winning Audi R18

If you were in charge of a car company’s racing program and one of your cars had won that year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans for the 13th time in 15 years, would you let journalists take that very car – which is bound for the company museum – for some hot laps around a track? Well, if you’re Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich – the person in charge of all of Audi’s motorsports activities – the answer is “Ja.” Fortunately for the 2014 race-winning Audi R18 e-Tron quattro, Motor Trend sent its pro-racer-in-residence, Randy Pobst, as its representative, but even the multi-time Pirelli World Challenge champion was left awestruck by this diesel-hybrid prototype’s capabilities.
