VIDEO: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Gets Put through its Paces

It’s one thing to yammer about the ridiculous stats of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat (707 horsepower, 200+ mph top speed, $60,000 MSRP), and it’s another thing to watch and hear it in action in hermetically-clean, controlled Chrysler-supplied B-roll. But it’s yet another other thing to see it get wrung out by an independent agency. Motor Trend qualifies as such an agency, and it put the dynamite Dodge through its usual battery of test, plus a trip to the chassis dyno and a standing-mile acceleration run. And based on the results of those tests (particularly the dyno readout), the Hellcat is actually even madder than Mother Mopar is letting on. “Cray” doesn’t begin to cover it…
