VF Engineering Lamborghini Huracan Supercharger Kit Boosts the Baby Bull [w/ Video]

Although it’s the lowest head on the current Lamborghini model line totem pole, the Huracan is by no means a pushover. With its all-wheel-drive, a dual-clutch 7-speed transmission and a hair over 600 horsepower from its naturally-aspirated 5.2L V10, the Huracan is a mighty motorcar. But if you’ve got your heart set on an entry-level Lambo that’s even mightier, you might want to place a call to VF Engineering.

VF Engineering, which is headquartered in Anaheim, California (the “real” Anaheim, not the crawling-with-tourists, $28-and-the-soul-of-your-firstborn-for-a-bottle-of-water Anaheim), has made its name providing engine tuning and parts for premium European rides, and one of the latest speed parts to emerge from the workshop is a supercharger kit for the Huracan. Although the meat of the VF800 kit is the Eaton TVS2300 Roots-type supercharger (shoving up to 7.5 psi of boost into the V10), the *GULP* $32,995 kit also includes an aluminum intake manifold, an air/water aftercooler system, high-flow MAF sensor housings, a pair of K&N air filters and a Hex Flash ECU tune.

That’s a lot of stuff and, more importantly, a lot of money…but the result is a lot of power: VF Engineering says the VF800 kit elevates total output to 805 horsepower and 610 lb.-ft of torque. The company isn’t disclosing any acceleration or top speed estimates, but we’re willing to bet a VF800-equipped Huracan will leave a stock one for dead in a straight line. Ain’t pressurized air swell?

I lived near Anaheim for a few months. I wish I had known about this place before I left, I would have loved to check it out. That said, fake Anaheim kinda ruins the experience of living there. Waaay too many tourists.
