Vath Tuned Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG

The Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is a great small-body roadster with more than impressive performance stats. It has a naturally aspirated 5.5L 360 hp V8 engine capable of 0 to 60 mph times of 4.7 seconds. So, why did German tuner Vath feel the need to improve on this model? Because they felt that it underperformed. I guess it’s really all a matter of perspective!

Displacement has bumped up to 5.8L and a supercharger was added to push output up to 565 hp with an insane 569 lb-ft of torque. The Vath V58k was born. Top speed is 186 mph (no more 155 mph limiter) with 0-60 mph times around 4 seconds flat. This puts it just a tad behind the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio.

The Vath V58k is not all brawn and brute power. Is also has a solid aerodynamics kits and performance mods. There is a carbon fiber front lip spoiler and rear diffuser in addition to a new stainless steel sport exhaust, tightened suspension system and bigger 19 inch wheels. The Vath tuned Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG is a petite monster and is sure to be an absolute thrill.
