Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon Blue is Transparently Tasty

Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin is well known for building timepieces with strong nautical vibes, but not so much for skeletal timepieces. The company hopes to change that with the boney beauty you see here, the Ulysse Nardin Executive Skeleton Tourbillon Blue. This masterpiece of minimalism packs a manually wound UN-171 flying tourbillon movement (which incorporates the brand’s trademark silicon escapement and balance spring, as well as a staggering 170-hour power reserve) within a 45 mm blue titanium case. That case is in turn attached to a matching blue leather strap embossed with a carbon-fiber-like pattern.

Ulysse Nardin asks roughly $39,000, which is really not that far out of line for a watch at this end of the marketplace if you ask us.
