TechArt Gives the Latest Porsche 911 Turbo More of Everything

The protective shipping wrapping on the first batch of updated 2017 Porsche 911 Turbos and Turbo Ss has barely been emptied out of dealership dumpsters, but the Porsche tuning aces at TechArt already have a healthy helping of upgrades available for the most powerful versions of the so-called 991.2 platform. Available for both the Coupe and Cabriolet models, the 991.2 Turbo aero kit doesn’t deviate dramatically from the stock vehicle’s lines, but the adjustable front lip, fixed rear wing, side skirts and grille and vent inserts do stand out, particularly when finished in unpainted carbon fiber. A set of Formula IV split-spoke wheels (20” fronts, 21” rears) and color-keyed gauge faces, stitching and other interior trimmings continue the “similar-but-different” theme, while an available power module elevates output of the 3.8L twin-turbo flat-six to a formidable 640 horsepower. TechArt says that extra oomph drops the 0-62 mph time to 2.7 seconds, which will give all but the most manic hypercars a very hard time.
