TechArt GrandGT Sport Turismo is a Wider Panamera Wagon

The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo (a.k.a. Panamera wagon) is by far one of our favorite cars introduced in the last year. It takes the already handsome second-gen Panamera 5-door fastback and makes it even more practical by adding some cargo space and a center rear seat. And if you want to add something on top of those additional somethings, the fine Porsche tuning experts at TechArt are ready to help.

Based on the version of the company’s GrandGT body kit for the Panamera sedan, the Sport Turismo version of the GrandGT adds new bumpers, sideskirts, fender flares, a power-dome hood and other parts, as well as a set of TechArt’s 22” Formula IV wheels to fill the extra 3.1” of body width. Inside, the 5-seat cabin has been reupholstered in succulent saddle leather on the seats, dashboard, floor…pretty much every surface that isn’t a dial, screen, button, switch or window. And to make sure you can reach your destination before you’re overcome by the aroma of all those tanned hides, TechArt has installed its Panamera Turbo power pack, which takes the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 to 631 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft of torque. That kind of power is apparently enough for 3.4 second 0-62 mph times, which should ensure that there’s zero danger of your 96-pack of frozen chimichangas from Costco thawing on the drive home. (Doing the Lord’s work, those TechArt guys and gals…)
