TAG Motorsports Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon has Our Full Attention
There are a lot of new cars on the market today that we really like, but there are very, very few that we truly lust after. Fortunately for the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon, it belongs to that elite cadre of vehicles. And why wouldn’t it? It’s only the fastest, most powerful and altogether most exotic stock station wagon ever offered to the American public.
Yet even with all those feathers in its cap, TAG Motorsports decided to stick a few more in for good measure. The most obvious surplus quills can be found at each of this albino Benzo’s four corners, in the form of polished 20” RS102 wheels from the fine folks at HRE Performance Wheels. And those lovely rims sit much closer to the tops of their respective wheel wells thanks to a set of lowering springs from H&R.
Of course, lowering the ride height also lowers the center of gravity, which should help make the AMG 5.5L twin-turbo V8’s 577 horsepower slightly easier to manage. Or at least it would have, had TAG Motorsports not decided to endow this wicked white wagon with even more power by way of a Brabus B63 power kit that raises the peak figure either 730 or 850 horsepower, depending on the settings. That kind of pep might seem excessive, but look at it this way; the less time it takes to get from Ikea to your home, the more time you can devote to assembly! That’s kind of a win, right?
