It’s a fact of life that some home renovations turn out better than others. Whether this Norwegian vacation home – dubbed Straumsnes Cabin – falls into the successful or unsuccessful remodel category is a matter of opinion, but there’s no denying that the end product (designed by the Norwegian firm Rever & Drage) is distinctive. Much of the house’s central core is original timber and other materials from the 1950s, while the box-shaped bedroom pods (the master featuring its own sauna), remodeled infinity pool and clean, modern interior décor bring it firmly into the 21st century. And the view…oh, that view.
