SR Auto Group Unleashes Matte Black Audi R8 Valkyrie

Some opinionated car enthusiasts could argue that the “murdered out” theme on cars has become a bit overused in recent years, but if any car deserves this treatment, it’s Audi’s mid-engined R8. SR Auto group transformed an already striking Audi R8 V10 into what should be Bruce Wayne’s next vehicle.

The car was treated with a flat black wrap, as well as some front and rear aero treatments. Then it was lowered on H&R springs and set on some nice 20” mesh wheels. The interior also has it’s usual updates with carbon fiber trim and what SR Auto calls, a “Custom SR Executive Interior Reupholstery,” which looks like a nice mix of alcantara and leather and brightly colored stitching- a nice match to the large brake calipers, which happen to have eight pistons paired up to large cross-drilled rotors.

The engine remains the stock Lamborghini-derived 5.2 FSI V-10, which produces about 525 horsepower and rockets the car from a standstill to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, as well as a top speed of about 195 miles per hour.

These figures, as well as the R8’s initial appearance, justify why this car deserved a nice refresh by SR Auto Group. This R8 is, for lack of a better word, mean. But not mean in a schoolyard bully sense- more of a Basilisk mean, like the one from the Harry Potter trilogy (any Greek mythology students reading?). If I saw this R8 tearing through the streets of Los Angeles, my first thought would be, “Protect the Women and Kids!”
