SPOFEC Rolls-Royce Wraith has Flares for the Dramatic [w/ Video]
If you want to make a grand automotive entrance, you can’t get much grander than the Rolls-Royce Wraith. This high-falutin’ fastback coupe is a welcome respite from the sumptuous but stodgy sedans and occasional convertible the overlapping Rs brand has spent most of its recent history building, Novitec’s SPOFEC branch – which concentrates exclusively on tuning Rollers – undoes another button or two on the Wraith’s pressed linen shirt.
Very few exterior panels escape being covered up or replaced by new SPOFEC bits, including flared fenders over all four wheels. The overall look is considerably more athletic than the stock version, but doesn’t quite cross over into tacky territory. Better still, SPOFEC continues the athleticism adding under the hood, with a power pack that endows the 6.7L twin-turbo V12 with 706 horsepower and 723 lb.-ft of torque. That’s allegedly good enough to launch this two-door dreadnaught to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds. We suggest you secure your Grey Poupon before attempting to match that figure, though…
