The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is easily the most extreme car the company currently makes, as it’s more than capable of going tit-for-tat with the similarly-track-focused numbers from Porsche, Ferrari and others. And if you ask us, its wider body and lower fascias make it look considerably better than the regular SLS. If only there was a way to get that more muscular physique without having to step up to the Black Series…

As it turns out, now there is. The fine folks at SGA Aerodynamics have created the carbon fiber body kit you see here, and it’s pretty much a dead-ringer for the bone stock Black Series. The front canards, side vents and rear brake cooling ducts are just some of the traits that ape those of the most muscular Mercedes. That said, there are a few clues that give the game away, most notable being the radical alloy wheels (20” front, 21” rear).

The illusion also falls apart when you venture beneath the surface, where you’ll find the less powerful (but torquier) version of the 6.2L V8 and the less myopic chassis tuning. But if you plan on using your SLS AMG every day (with or without SGA Aerodynamics’ body kit), the regular SLS or the SLS GT might be a smarter buy. As for what this body kit will cost to buy, SGA Aerodynamics isn’t saying just yet.
