This Yacht is a Turkish Delight [w/ Video]
Is Turkey a hotbed of yacht-building activity on the same level as Monaco or Italy? Not really, but one shipyard that calls the bi-continental nation home – Sarp Yachts – is making quite a case for itself with its latest masterpiece, the 46 meter (151 foot) La Passion.
The curvaceous fiberglass- and composite-intensive superstructure sits atop the steel hull, and together they house a lavish Adam Lay Studio designed interior boasting five cabins trimmed in marine-centric colors like blue, green and turquoise, as well as natural oak, LED lighting and bespoke art pieces. Power comes from a pair of 1,000 horsepower engines, which Sarp Yachts say can push this boat to a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles. We certainly wouldn’t mind covering that distance in a single voyage.
