We weren’t too familiar with German tuner RS-RACING TEAM but, if their new tuning program for the BMW M3 is any indication of the overall sensibilities of the Sven Rau and Sonja Grüter duo, they are definitely on our radar now.Their latest offering has been designed as a street-legal track car to deliver “more adrenaline for your senses.”

Dubbed the BMW “RS-M3”, themods are pretty straightforward but effective nonetheless. A Bilstein B16 PSS10 adjustable sport suspension system offers 10-way adjustability with MOT approval. 19×10-inch forged ATS-Superlight wheels wrapped in summer tires help the M3 put the power to the pavement.

The 4.0L V8 is tuned to 450hp with 318 lb-ft of torque. This allows the Bimmer to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 4.6 seconds on its way to a top speed of 186 mph, made possible by removing the VMAX limiter. Stopping power is enhanced by way of special brake pads and steel flex brake lines designed for motorsports.

But inside is where RS-Racing Team really works their magic. First order of business is ripping out the rear seats, carpeting and door pads because, really, who needs those? They then drop in a DMSB-certified WIECHERS Sport roll cage, carbon fiber door panels and certified hard shell sport seats with 6-point harnesses. This results in a drastic weight reduction of a whopping 419 pounds.
