The Price is Right – 2010 Nissan GT-R MSRP Released

2010 Nissan GT-R

Back in July 2008, the 2009 Nissan GT-R exploded on the US car scene. For a company known for high quality and low price points, Nissan took a significant leap of faith to compete in the ultra-high performance segment. By offering Porsche 911 performance in a package that’s $50k less, the GT-R has an amazing price to horsepower ratio. The new MSRP for the 2010 Nissan GT-R is set at $80,790 for the base model and $83,040 for the Premium version.

The Motor Trend “2009 Car of Year” and Automobile Magazine’s 2009 “Automobile of the Year” now gets 332 hp from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. This is 5 hp more than last year. The 6 speed, dual-clutch transmission now has a new Transmission Control Module (TCM) that increases drivability and quickens acceleration when used in conjunction the Vehicle Dynamic Control. The brakes have been improved with more rigid lines and the suspension system has been revamped with Bilstein shocks. The base Nissan GT-R now features a darker, high-luster smoke finish on the 20 inch RAYS wheels while the Premium version is outfitted with a “near-black” metallic finish. A new Pearl White color is being offered for 2010 and a polished front bumper now comes with the Super Silver.

The 2010 Nissan GT-R has two options and two accessories available. The Cold Weather Package is available for no charge. The Special Super Silver Paint runs $3,000. For MP3 junkies, there is an iPod Converter listed at $400. Carpeted GT-R floor mats cost $280. According to Edmunds, the base price and Premium price of the 2010 GT-R are both $3,950 more than last year, but with all of the improvements as well as the slight bump in horsepower, it seems well worth it.
