Porsche Design Tower Penthouse is a Garage Mahal in the Sky

When it comes to creating consumer goods that blend functionality with style, Porsche Design is better than most. But what happens when you turn the award-winning firm loose on a somewhat larger product like, say, a luxury residential skyscraper? Well, that’s exactly what’s happening with a 60-story tower currently under construction in the Miami suburb of Sunny Isles Beach.

Unlike a typical building of this sort, which has a community parking garage either in the basement or next to the building, the Porsche Design Tower features a trio of vehicle elevators in its central core, allowing residents to store their cars (between two and four of them, depending on the floorplan) just outside their unit. And on the off chance that you have the $32.5 million developer Gil Dezer is asking for the 16,915 square-foot penthouse that occupies the top four floors, you’ll be able to park up to 11 cars within a few steps of your living quarters. Unless your name is David Xanatos, penthouses don’t get any more off-the-hook than this.
