These Watches are Swimmers by Day, Studs by Night
You would think that aesthetics would be pretty far down the list of priorities for a diving watch, behind things like reliability and legibility. The designers at Omega, however, respectfully disagree; the watches belonging to their new Planet Ocean Deep Black collection (available in all-black, red accents, blue accents and gold accents) all feature a handsome 45.5mm ceramic case with a patented case back locking mechanism (named Naiad after the water spirits of Ancient Greek mythology) that ensures all the ornately engraved elements maintain proper alignment.
This fab foursome also boasts a GMT function, helium escape valves, an Omega Master Chronometer caliber 8906 movement and, on the three lower priced (about $10,800) models, a rubber strap that looks like fabric with contrasting stitching (The roughly $14,500 gold-accented version rocks a genuine leather strap.). Regardless of which version you choose, we reckon they’re all more than nice enough to wear on dry land.
