Office-K Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster is an Extra Special Edition
Even though the Lamborgini Murcielago was pretty exclusive to begin with, and the Murcielago Roadster was even more exclusive than the coupe, Lamborghini still saw fit to produce a limited edition version of the Roadster. The Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster, built only for the 2009 model year, featured a little more power from the 6.5L V12 and a special gray-with-orange-accents color scheme. And since only 50 of these things were made, there’s minimal danger of seeing more than one in the same place.
Of course, if you live somewhere like Monaco or Dubai, odds are considerably higher that you’ll end up parking next to one. And if you want to make sure you don’t mistake the cleaning lady’s LP650-4 Roadster for your own (So embarrassing!), Japanese tuner Office-K is here to help.
The body of this exotic convertible hasn’t really received any alterations, but considering how wild it is in stock form, that’s somewhat understandable. However, Office-K has replaced the stock wheels with a set of 20” SV29c wheels from Savini. And unlike the dark gray stock rims, these new wheels feature orange accents on the spokes and a thin orange band around the rim. The result is, if you ask us, a much more cohesive color scheme, since the orange trim on the body no longer looks so lonely.
Inside, virtually nothing has changed relative to the stock version. Normally, this would be a massive disappointment, but you’ll forget all your disappointment once you blip the throttle with the roof removed. That’s because Office-K installed a Power Craft exhaust system featuring two massive tailpipes instead of the stock single outlet. No word if the system adds to the stock 641hp, but you can bet your bottom yen it makes the big V12 sound even more melodious.
No word how much Office-K is charging for these enhancements, but we’re guessing it’s not a whole lot relative to most upgrade packages. No, they won’t make this radical ragtop faster, but they will make it look even snazzier. Of course, why would you make a Lamborghini less snazzy?
