O.CT Tuning Tees-up Supercharged Dodge Challenger and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRTs
While many of us were filled with glee when Dodge and SRT recently revealed the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat and its 600+ horsepower supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8, we’re pretty sure a few people were upset by the news. Of the people upset by said news, we’re guessing a good 90% of them are owners of a current Challenger SRT, with its 6.4L Hemi making “only” 470 horsepower. But in their defense, we’d be miffed that our modern Dodge muscle car was no longer the maddest one currently rolling out of the factory, too.
Fortunately, there are fixes available to keep your Challenger somewhat current with regard to acceleration ability. The latest such fix comes courtesy of the Switzerland’s O.CT Tuning in the form of a supercharger kit. The kit (which also includes an intercooler and an ECU tune) boosts the 6.4L lump’s output to 556 horsepower and 542 lb.-ft of torque. Not quite Hellcat numbers, no, but certainly enough to keep one from being completely humiliated by a stock Camaro ZL1 or stock Shelby GT500 jockey.
And because O.CT Tuning designed the kit to work with any 6.4-powered SRT model, it can also be applied to a current Dodge Charger SRT, Chrysler 300 SRT, or Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, the last of which you can see here. You can also see a Ram 1500 pickup, which has been equipped with O.CT Tuning’s supercharger kit for the regular 5.7L Hemi. Best of all, all of the kits are fully-certified by Germany’s TÜV and other applicable European regulatory agencies, and they come with 5-year warranties.
