Novitec Tridente Maserati Ghibli is Discreetly Delicious
Novitec Tridente – the Maserati-centric division of the Novitec Group of tuners – recently introduced its take on the century-old Italian brand’s large sedan, the Quattroporte. And considering how well that project has been received, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Novitec Tridente has given the big Q’s little brother – the Ghibli – an eerily similar treatment. The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it body kit and 22” wheels are undeniably inspired by the bits available for the big Maserati sedan, while an array of power kits for the turbocharged 3.0L gas and (if you’re outside North America) diesel V6s yield sizeable gains. In fact, the gas V6 – which is boosted to 469 horsepower and 472 lb.-ft of torque – will scoot to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and max out at 183 mph. If those figures don’t qualify as shots across the bow of the hottest non-AMG, M and RS midsizers the Fatherland has to offer, we don’t know what does.
