Novitec McLaren 570S is a Cut Above [w/ Video]

It wasn’t so long ago that the Novitec Group was a tuner of Ferraris and…well, that was pretty much it, actually. More recently, though, the tuner has been diversifying the bejeebus out of its offerings, and the process continues with the addition of McLaren – specifically the Sports Series, i.e. 570S 570GT and the not-for-America-or-Europe 540C – to the list of labels whose wares can now get the Novitec treatment.

The body kit doesn’t deviate drastically from the stock 570S, but the new front bumper, side skirts, rear wing, engine cover with twin snorkels, and side scoop cover blades (which are giving us some first-gen Audi R8 vibes) strongly suggest, along with the a set of staggered Novitec wheels measuring 20” in front and 21” in back, that this car isn’t the same as it was when it left Woking. And in case that still isn’t clear, one stomp on the gas pedal should make it so, as Novitec has also cooked up a power kit consisting of a high-flow exhaust system – fabricated from your choice of stainless steel or Inconel – and an ECU tune that raises the 3.8L twin-turbo V8’s output from 562 to 637 horsepower. What’s more, Novitec says that extra oomph hoists this mad Mac’s top speed to 208 mph. Consider yourselves warned, stock 650S pilots…
