Making New History: Following Chris Harris at the Goodwood Revival Meeting [Video]
You should know by now that theGoodwood Festival of Speedis one of those functions that anyone with even a passing interest in cars and/or motorsports needs to attend at least once per lifetime. But do you know that much of the same is true of theGoodwood Revival Meeting? Well by what we’ve seen, it absolutely is. Historic race cars battling each other around a historic track laid out around the perimeter of a historic World War II air base (complete with historic warbirds buzzing around throughout the weekend) populated with participants, officials and spectators dressed in historic garb? What’s not to like?
Well, maybe the fact that first-time drivers generally have little time to learn the track. Fortunately forDrive’sChris Harris, that wasn’t an issue. He was able to get some seat time in a very pretty (and very underpowered)Alfa Romeobefore the main event of his weekend: TheRAC TT Celebration race, whereHarrisshared a literally one-of-a-kindLister-Jaguar coupewith touring car legendAnthony Reid. How did the lads do? As it turned out, not half bad…
