Lexus LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo is the Holographic Hotness
It’s been another eventful week for Gran Turismo 6 players; on Wednesday, Alpine – the iconic French sports car manufacturer that parent company Renault is working on reviving – revealed its retro-inspired open-top Vision Gran Turismo submission, which is due to be added to the game via download in March. And today, Lexus has taken the virtual sheet off its digital concept car for the festival, the Lexus LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo.
If part of the name seems familiar, that’s because this machine is derived from the brand’s 2012 LF-LC Concept. The Vision GT version adds much beefier bodywork, including an integral front splitter and gooseneck-mount rear wing. It also adds holographic striping reminiscent of that found on the Lexus RC F GT3 that has been making the auto show rounds. It’s certainly distinctive and creates an interesting effect, but we’re starting to wonder if there’s at least one high-ranking member of the Lexus design team with an unhealthy Lisa Frank addiction. In any event, look for the LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo to hit GT6 servers sometime this spring.
