Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV Will Showcase at La Dolce Vita Automobili

Lamborghini LP670-4 SV

The 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV is one of the rarer supercars on the market today. As its name implies, this exotic has 670 horsepower and can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Even in LA where you catch a glimpse of a Lamborghini or a Ferrari every day, this car is particularly special. Only 350 units are being produced with just 125 earmarked for sale in the US. Car #12, which is the white on black LP670-4 SV shown above, was the very first one to be delivered to an owner in the USA.

This car will actually be on display at La Dolce Vita Automobili at Black Horse on Friday, August 14, 2009. There are literally dozens of other Lamborghinis registered to display at this event which is sponsored by Cats Exotics and Driven Exotics, the only 100% Lamborghini Service Facility in the country.

The show offers a predominantly Italian collection of sports, race and vintage cars with names like Maserati, DeTomaso, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Lancia. However, it will also present non-Italian brands at a specialty display on the fairway called “Featured Marques of the Peninsula”. You can look forward both to vehicles from Bugatti and Porsche, two manufacturers that have already confirmed attendance. Also, in the European Fairway area, there will be cars from Citroen Traction Avant, Mercedes Benz and Aston-Martin.

An automotive design pavilion will showcase the future car designs of students and graduates of the Academy of Art University, San Francisco’s School of Industrial Design. Large painted clay models of futuristic Ferrari visions, drawings and digital displays will show an array of talent by up-and-coming auto designers.

“Alfa Romeo Through the Ages” will showcase Spiders, and the display is complemented by the incredible 2009 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione which signifies Alfa Romeo’s re-entry into the North American automotive market.

Ticket sales benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children. A silent auction benefits the La Dolce Vita Automobili Scholarship Fund established to assist young and creative students in their pursuit of an automotive design career. The scholarship funds will be facilitated by the Collectors Foundation.

Overall, this should be a pretty phenomenol event the day before Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance begins. We’ll be there to provide full coverage.
