Hublot Big Bang Unico Colored Sapphire is a New Way to Hue

It seems like every time we turn around the Hublot Big Bang family of watches grows by a couple members. The latest addition to the brood is the Big Bang Unico Colored Sapphire and, as the name suggests, it makes artful use of colored sapphire in its case. The vibrant blue and magenta comes by heating the raw material for sapphire – aluminum oxide – together with chromium and iron, respectively. Hublot plans to make just 250 specimens of each color, both driven by the company’s Unico HUB124 automatic chronograph movement and attached to straps with Hublot’s nifty quick-release clasps. No word on pricing as yet, but we’re sure Hublot won’t have any trouble moving all 500 of these eye catching compact clocks.
