Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu Puts it All on the Line
If you’re a tattoo artist who has inked the likes of Kanye West, where do you go from that? Well, if you’re Maxime Büchi, proprietor of, among other things, the Sang Bleu tattoo studio in London, you branch out into designing high end watches. The Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu is, in case the name didn’t give it away, based on Hublot’s popular named-for-the-birth-of-the-universe timepieces. However, Büchi has put his own unique spin on it…literally! Instead of conventional hands, two of the three rhodium-plated overlapping octagonal discs with mesmerizing geometric patterns spin to indicate the hour and minutes, with white Superluminova triangles serving as the pointers. The intricate linework extends onto the case and the band, meaning this one-of-200 stunner is kind of rocking a full-body tattoo; luckily for the needlephobes among you, you needn’t do the same to wear this watch.
