When it comes to cars that played central roles in recent movies, the latestBatmobilefrom the most recentChristopher Nolan-directed films – a.k.a. theTumbler– is easily the most badass of the bunch. It looks like the lovechild of an armored personnel carrier and aLamborghiniand, in the movies at least, is chock full of cool gadgets. Plus there’s not very much that can get in its way (at least not for very long).
Unfortunately, as it turns out, there’s only one working Tumbler here in the U.S., and we doubt it’s for sale at any price. However, the lone functioning Tumbler on this continent (and it is fully functional, minusBatman’s tools of the trade) recently made a visit toJay Leno’s Garage, andAmerica’s best-known car nutwas able to chat with its handlers and got a chance to take it for a test drive. A very, veryloudtest drive.
