It would be easy to assume that all car nuts who hang their hats in Italy are fiercely loyal to the home teams, i.e.Ferrari,Lamborghini,Maseratiand so forth. After all, when was the last time you saw a crowd shot taken atMonzaduring the grand prix where the spectatorsweren’tpredominantly dressed in red and/or waving flags adorned withil Cavallino Rampante? Exactly.

However, as is the case with any nation, there are plenty of Italians who love their foreign nameplates. TakeDonato Maniscalo, for instance. His love for thePorsche 911started at a rather early age, and apparently he has owned a few in addition to the1968 911Tfeatured in this latest video from our friends atPetrolicious. And we would kindly ask that anyone who points out to Donato or us that he could have easily picked up a “budget”Lamborghini(like anEspada) orMaserati(like aMerak) for what an earlyPorsche911 goes for these days to zip it, because what’s wrong with a guy deriving enjoyment from using his car as its maker intended? The answer is nothing. Nothing at all.
