A Cadillac ATS-V Tuned by Germans to Squash…the Germans
The Cadillac ATS-V is the first serious American threat to German junior super sedans and coupes like the BMW M3/M4 and Mercedes-AMG C63. So it’s not exactly a surprise that Germany’s top tuner of Yankee machinery, Geiger Cars, has figured out how to make it even more capable of giving the home team fits.
In addition to a set of 19” Leggera-Alura wheels from OZ Racing, Geiger Cars also fits a set of lowering springs (which drops ride height by 0.98”) to yield handling that’s even more buttoned-down. And to ensure that it’s no longer bringing a 464 horsepower crossbow to a gunfight with the 503 horsepower C63 S, this crazy Caddy’s 3.6L twin-turbo V6 receives an ECU tune, an exhaust system X-pipe and new mufflers with bypass valves to uncork a formidable 501 horsepower and 486 lb.-ft of torque. Geiger Cars says those increases hoist the top speed to 194 mph, a number that’s certainly in keeping with the tuner’s roughly $84,000 asking price for a turn-key car with all the fixin’s mentioned above.
