G-Power BMW M4 is a Boosted Black Bullet
G-Power produced many lustworthy E92 BMW M3s over the course of that model’s lifespan (and a little bit beyond). But the superstar BMW tuning shop has decided it’s time to move on to that sprightly super coupe’s renamed successor, the M4. And the result is, predictably, impressive.
While the exterior appearance isn’t dramatically changed from stock (aside from a lower ride height attributable to a coilover kit and a set of 20” forged wheels from G-Power’s own Hurricane RR line), the powertrain is chock full of changes. The Bi-Tronik 5 V1 engine control module bumps the 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six’s output from 425 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft of torque to 513 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft of torque. G-Power says that extra zip can launch this boosted Bimmer to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and onward to a top speed of 202 mph. We can’t wait to see how much more muscle G-Power is able to wring out of the S55 engine in the months and years to come.
