Every November, the SEMA Show brings a vast and interesting mix of vehicles to Las Vegas for the automotive media and industry types to ogle. However, it’s one thing to see these wild creations standing still; it’s another to see them moving – and moving quickly – under their own power. That’s what makes this video from Motor Trend’s YouTube channel so fascinating. Yeah, we’ve already seen Mike Finnegan’s Hemi-powered ’55 Chevy in action, as well as the brand-new, bone-stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat that Jessi Lang brought along. But the hopped up Chevy Sonic RS and the brilliantly-absurd ’58 Jeep Forward Control pickup (powered by a 5.7L Gen 3 Hemi and rolling on a quartet of tank tracks), although markedly slower than the other two, can get from A to B (eventually), and look killer doing it. Isn’t that what modified cars – be they displayed at the SEMA Show or not – are all about?
