Friday Matinee: Chris Harris Goes Ute Hooning in an HSV GTS Maloo

While it’s sad that Australia’s domestic auto industry is winding down and thousands of workers will be out on their clackers, it’s especially sad that that most Australian of vehicle species, the ute, will be going extinct along with it. Luckily, Chris Harris was in Oz recently and managed to get some seat time in the most powerful stock ute that will ever be unleashed upon the Land Down Under: The HSV GTS Maloo. And while Chris was (understandably) skeptical at first of the performance capabilities of a vehicle with a bed, the hyperactive Holden’s 577 horsepower supercharged 6.2L V8 quickly won him over. Funny how that happens…
