Fox Marketing Lexus CT 200h Supercharged Is One Badass Hybrid
The 2011 New York Auto Show was chock full of slick new production models, fantastical concepts and a few quiet surprises. The Fox Marketing Lexus CT 200h Supercharged falls into this latter camp. Making its debut as the hum of the show died down, this hybrid seems to break all of the rules that pigeonhole the perception of eco-friendly motoring as an epic snoozefest. Lexus advertises the CT 200h as ‘Conscious and Conspicious’ in an attempt to jettison this misnomer, but Fox Marketing’s overhaul makes this slogan a profound understatement.
There’s nothing like a wide-body kit with modified fascias, 3-inch flared fenders, thick side skirting and a straight-off-the-race-track rear diffuser with fins to flag this car as something memorable. Fox Marketing finished off the wave of their wand by tossing in tinted headlights, 20-inch deep dish alloy wheels and a healthy coat of glimering Carizza Cinammon paint. The extremism exemplified by the exterior mods are dialed down for the interior. The cabin benefits from Yonaka Ronin racing seats, aluminum trim pieces and Lexus logos illuminated by LEDs in the door panels.
The stock 2011 Lexus CT 200h sports a 1.8-liter four banger good for 134 hp. Sprints from 0-60 mph in 9.8 seconds just wasn’t doing it for the folks at Fox Marketing. So they bolted on an Eaton blower mated with a Climax Racing intake manifold, which together more than double output to 300+ horses. Not too shabby… With the newfound boost in power, a custom suspension was put in place along with juicy 13-inch Baer brakes. There is no word yet on final specs or cost, as this was a one-off bespoke creation.
