Forza Horizon 2 December Car Pack is All-V8, All the Time [w/ Video]

Few engine configurations scream “Performance!” as loudly as a V8. Whether powering American muscle cars, European supercars or something else, two inline-fours opposed at an angle and sharing a crankshaft combine good power, great sound, and relatively compact exterior dimensions.

We’re not sure if the creators of Forza Horizon 2 went out of their way to create an all-V8 lineup for this month’s NAPA Chassis Car Pack, but that’s what they wound up with. There are two mid-engine exotics (the 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 and the 2015 McLaren 650S), a muscle car (the 1970 Buick GSX), a not-quite muscle car (the 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, which is nice but…why no Aerocoupe, guys?), a high-falutin’ SUV (the 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged) and, a weapons-grade wagon that might very well be our four-wheeled spirit animal (the 2015 Audi RS6 Avant). All are available for download right…about…now, and are waiting for you to tune and hoon them to your heart’s content.
