Ferrari Rattrapante Engineered By Officine Panerai
Bentley has Brietling. Aston Martin has Jeager LeCoultre. Mercedes SLR has TAG Heuer. And Ferrari has a partnership with Officine Panerai. Diehard purists of these stellar watch manufacturers may be somewhat put off by these types of joint ventures but there is no doubt that the watches being produced are both expertly crafted and aesthetically pleasing. The Ferrari Rattraponte is no exception.
This great new watch from Officine Panerai was recently shown off at the 2009 SIHH show in Geneva. The yellow prancing horse trademark logo is on the face with the Ferrari name just below as well as placed along the black rubber band. The only evidence of Panerai’s involvement is on the back of the watch, where their logo is present running along the circumference. The chronograph dials closely resemble the Ferrari dashboard instrumentation with circular presentation and similar color pallets. This may be the sportiest version of their collaboration yet and seems the most practical for everyday use.
I will provide more information on this variant of the Ferrari Rattrapante by Officine Panerai when it becomes available.
