Donkervoort D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition is a Birthday-Suited Beast

We’re already on record as being fans of the Donkervoort D8 GTO. You do remember the Donkervoort D8 GTO, don’t you? It’s the Dutch neo-Lotus/Caterham 7 with the 400 horsepower 2.5L turbo inline-five from Audi’s quattro GmbH skunkworks. Well, now there’s an even more raw and rabid version of the D8 GTO and, depending on your place of employment, may be NSFW.

It’s called the D8 GTO Bare Naked Carbon Edition and, in case you haven’t noticed, its carbon fiber bodywork is indeed bare and naked. Donkervoort proclaims that it applies a UV-resistant coating to the composite material in either a matte or gloss finish, depending on the buyer’s preference. D8 GTO BNCE buyers can also specify the tint color (if any) of the protective coating for even greater personalization. Personally, we’d probably pick Dutch racing orange…
