This Ferrari 488 GTB is Loaded for Bear

At this point, all we and anybody else outside the hallowed factory gates in Maranello is guess as to how badass the inevitable 488 equivalent of the Ferrari 458 Speciale will be. Of course, if you’re not in the mood for guessing (or waiting, for that matter), German tuner DMC is ready and able to fulfill your fortified force-fed Fezza needs before the sheet even comes off the more muscular 488. It’s called the DMC Orso (“orso” being Italian for bear), and if it looks ferocious, that’s because it is.

The aero parts (front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear wing) are made of carbon fiber, as are the various accent parts adorning areas like the side mirrors, side air intakes and taillight trim. Consequently, the Orso has more sizzle than a stock 488 GTB, but it’s also got more steak to go with it; an ECU tune and a Stage 1 (meaning there are probably more stages on the way) sport exhaust system allows the 3.9L twin-turbo V8 to belt out 777 horsepower and 638 lb.-ft of torque. DMC isn’t offering performance or pricing figures yet, but bet on them being in the vicinities of “insane” and “expensive,” respectively.
