Hide Your Daughters When this Custom Bike Comes Around

In the eyes of some people, motorcyclists are one big, unruly family. Obviously, that’s a wildly unfair stereotyping of bikers, yet there are two-wheel lovers out there who are happy to embrace the outlaw label. It is for these folks that the custom shop Death Machines of London exists, and why it builds bikes like the Up Yours Copper.

Aside from being a favorite greeting for the constabulary among the Big Smoke’s ne’re-do-wells, the name of this extensively modified 2007 Triumph Thruxton 900 is a nod to its many copper-plated accents, including the wheel rims and cam cover. The ceramic-coated exhaust system (with a carbon fiber muffler) exits through the center of the custom LED taillight, while a two toggle switch assembly originally used on a 1940 Supermarine Spitfire Mk1 fighter plane operates the bike’s electrical system and the starter motor. The saddle is made from 17 pieces of American Walnut, and the aviation style fuel filler – held down by a leather strap – has a brass surround engraved with the famous Hunter S. Thompson quote, “Faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.” Clearly, this motorcycle is completely bereft of effs to give, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
