Codecasa Gio Chi Thè is a Modern Take on Timeless Style

When it comes to performance and amenities in motor yachts, modern boats are where it’s at. But not everybody is a fan of in-your-face futuristic styling or colors on their multi-million dollar floating palace, which is a big part of why Italian shipyard Codecasa has become known as builder of yachts that, while not retro in the strictest sense, make liberal use of the mid-20th century luxury yacht aesthetic in their designs. And Codecasa’s latest is no different in that regard.

The Gio Chi Thè, as this 141’ vessel has been named, is a real beauty with an abundance of old school details like a near-vertical bow, subdued dark blue hull, and an abundance of straight lines and sharp angles on the superstructure. Inside, the bright décor and plentiful light of both the natural and artificial varieties make the interior – which features a master suite with its own private office – seem even more spacious than it already is. And with a pair of Caterpillar 3512C engines pushing this behemoth up to 16.5 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles if you keep it below 11 knots, it has pace to match its grace.
