Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept is Part Powerboat, Part Supercar

Mercedes-Benz’s long-running relationship with the iconic speedboat-building firm Cigarette Racing has resulted in some pretty sweet vessels over the last few years. And the latest product of this German-American vehicle alliance – the Cigarette Racing 50 Marauder GT S Concept – keeps that streak going in convincing fashion.

As the name implies, this 50-foot powerboat is inspired by the new Mercedes-AMG GT S, and it features a hull finished in the 911-fighter’s searing Solarbeam yellow color, as well as black striping and graphics incorporating “AMG” lettering. The cockpit boasts five yellow-on-black sport bucket seats, while the engine cover conceals a pair of Mercury Marine’s new 1,550 horsepower V8s that are capable, says Cigarette Racing, of pushing this wave-slayer to a top speed in excess of 135 mph.

Officially, the 50 Marauder GT S Concept is exactly that; curiously, though, Cigarette Racing says that it would cost you about $1.2 million to park in your berth. Hmmm…$1.2 mil for 3,100 horsepower…makes hypercars seem overpriced and underpowered, doesn’t it?
