You Can Buy James Bond’s Aston Martin DB10 for a Good Cause
If you’ve seen the most recent James Bond movie, Spectre, then you know that the current Bond (Daniel Craig) drove something called an Aston Martin DB10, a vehicle that isn’t available outside the 007 universe…until now. On February 18th, Christie’s will be auctioning off one of the two DB10 “hero cars” used in the film (as well as some other, smaller props) in London to benefit Médecins Sans Frontières (or Doctors Without Borders, if the only French you care about is of the fries variety). Alas, you won’t be able to register the DB10 on the road, since it’s never undergone crash or emissions testing in any country, but it is a fully-functional car with a 420 horsepower 4.7L V8 and 6-speed manual transmission taken from the V8 Vantage on which it’s based, so you could exercise it on a private road or a racetrack. You’ll have to hire your own bad guys to chase or be chased by, though…
