Autobahn Stormers: The Audi RS7 and Porsche Panamera Turbo Throw Down [Video]

Going by just the spec sheets, theAudi RS7andPorsche Panamera Turboare the same damn car. Think about it: Both are large-ish fastback-hatchbacksuper sedanswithtwin-turbo V8 engines,all-wheel-drive, serious sporting pretensions and six-figure pricetags. They even fall under the same ginormous corporate umbrella (i.e. theVolkswagen Group).

But spec sheets don’t tell the whole story, which is whyMotor Trend’sJonny Lieberman(and the mag/network’s highly-personable, highly-vegetarian Stig-equivalent,Randy Pobst) tested these two Teutonic JATO-boosted crypto limos on the road and on the track. And while a clear winner does emerge, we certainly wouldn’t turn down theAudior thePorscheif you gave us one. (In fact, the acceleration and quarter-mile times alone give us the giggles.)
